Lined

Simple it should be
Lengthy and drawn not
Drawn
Full of promise and expectation
For anything
Lines around and inbetween
Scratched upon us too easily
Bruised and eager to heal
Its pain making me breathe and rush to find new skin
New skin to feel whole and packaged again
How long will it be to be new again?

untitled

Traverse to where we cannot return you said
But I want to go back now
Retrace in steady even steps
Backward
Reversing the one too many steps already taken
But show me how to go back
Side by side
In tandem
To steady one another
A union of resolve you said
Synchronized
In readiness
For our next journey

Decibel

One voice of many
Muffled strong and heard too loud
In my head
Wrought with unspoken innuendo
Without echo
Oh, to be heard again for the first time
Digesting hungrily and greedy
It's course determined
Winding through channels of noise and distraction
Loud in it's path
I hear you
And in its consumption
I pause for more
Each decibel brings me closer
To recognition of you
